Pioneered the internet industry in Latin America with ImageMaker, a company he founded in 1995 at age 15, that later became an award-winning web development agency working with some of the largest clients in the continent.
He sold this company at age 24.
In 2005 he developed a blogging addiction and founded FayerWayer, which since 2011 is the #1 Spanish-language blog in the world (source: Bitacoras). With FayerWayer as the cornerstone he co-founded Betazeta a technology applied media company, creating new editorial processes and in-house technology acclaimed by the industry. Betazeta has become the largest network of independent content communities in Latin America, gathering over 10 million users each month. In 2017 Betazeta was acquired by Metro International, the world’s largest newspaper, based in Sweden.
Since 2015 he is the CEO of the Santiago Maker Space, the first fab lab in Chile where 96 active members work on over 40 projects and inventions.
He is currently on the board of various companies including Betazeta, Stgo MakerSpace, Awto, Fork, Prey, Arte al Límite, Fundación Vivir Más Feliz, amongst others.
He has been selected an Endeavor Global Entrepreneur (2009), Latin
Entrepreneur of the Year (2012), Chilean Entrepreneur of the Year (2011), The GOOD 100 (2013), 30 under 30 (2008), 100 Young Leaders (2006), Top 100 International Web Developers (2001), amongst other recognitions, and has been invited to speak at major events including SXSW (Texas), TEDxSantiago (Chile), Campus Party (Brazil), La Red Innova (Spain), OMExpo (Brazil and Spain), FIIS (Chile), and WebCongress (Miami).
When he’s not online or exploring the world with his family, he wishes he was underwater or building robots. He was born in Santiago (1979), but grew up in Madrid, Bangkok, Amsterdam, São Paulo, Melbourne and New York.
